Default Turn Signal Problem...

Hey all.

First time poster here. Just thought I would ask around here before taking my truck to Midas.

So, I've got a 1995 S10 Blazer with a turning signal problem. It started off with the signals not blinking/clicking for about 5 seconds, then going insane for a couple seconds and then staying solid again. Couple weeks go by and now they're just solid. Emergency flashers are fine, by the way.

I've tried replacing the turn signal relay located behind the glove box, but that didn't help. I also noticed I had a taillight out, which I replaced, but still nothing. What could cause this? I know in general that if a bulb is out, the flashers will stay solid, but the bulbs seem fine since the emergency flashers work.

I also heard that some bulbs are hard to pinpoint if they're out, but like I said, both turn signals are solid, not just one. Would both signals do this if I have a bulb out somewhere? Or do I have an electrical problem on my hands? If so, I'm off to Midas.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Look at your fuse block. If it has separate fuses for turn/bu and stop/hazard, then this diagram is probably correct and there are two flashers, one for hazard, one for turn

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe pre-1998 Blazers have under the hood fuseboxes. My 95 has the fusebox next to the driver's side door. Either way, I changed out the turn signal fuse with brand new one, but still nothing.

Any other suggestions?

Sounds like its probably the combination switch (indicator stock... whatever you want to call it). I've got the same problem with my '99 and the fuses are all fine and I replaced the relay as well.. to be honest though, electrical isn't really my thing and with all the extra wiring from the after-market remote start its a bit more than I want to tackle on my own.. So I've got my truck going into the shop in a few days

Also.. yours may have an under the hood fuse box.. my '99 has one by the door and one under the hood
