Default What causes a battery to fry ?

I've ran thru 3-4 batteries in 2 months with my 97 4x4 Blazer LT. Been doing some engine work on it, so I've been connecting/disconnecting the battery terminals and turning it over until its dead, but to the point of no recharge ?? Taken the dead batteries to Autozone to have them recharged, and none of them did. All of the batteries were DuraStart 75-1 batteries from Atwoods. Can't be the alternator, I had it tested a month ago when I bought this blazer and it came back fine.

So, can cranking the car over until the battery dies really kill the battery to the point of not able of being recharged ? Cheap ****ty batteries ? Or what is killing these batteries ??

Yes. Draining that design wet cell battery until its dead damages its ability to be recharged. You're murdering them.
