Default What is this Wire?

Hey, brand new blazer owner here, I just bought this 2002 blazer yesterday:

I'm takeing the bumper off the front because I'm going to paint it, but i noticed this wire hanging down. Its the white wire there. I have no idea what it is, anyone know?

Do all the lights work? I see there aren't any factory fog light & they have a molex plug anyway. Any holes in the bumper from the previous owner/s drilling holes for after market lights? Where does the wire go to? A ground or + connection, switch?
Does it look factory? A white wire by itself doesn'r scream factory to me but it seems to go into a harness/loom.
Is the outside temperature sensor hooked up? It's the odd looking lil nipple on the backside of the grille dead center, near the top. Just above & behind the bowtie.

I hope you cleaned out that straw infront of the rad too lol.

Nice looking ZR2! It's a 2001 or 2002?

Yea I cleaned all that pine straw and crap out the radiator haha its a 2002

And yea that wire is comeing from some plastic tubeing, all of the lights work its only on the driver side headlight too not the passenger side head light. The temperature display in the car is displaying a correct temperature I'll check that sensor though i didn't even notice it

I didn't notice any sort of holes that seemed out of place in the grill, course this is the first blazer i've got to play with.

Maybe it's a left over wire from grille guards lights? If signals & temp sensor work, headlights work as well as the DRL & AHL if it's equipped, I'd seal it off or trace it back & remove it.

One other thing on the front end it may go to & I highly doubt, is one of the air bag sensors. I say highly doubt because they have their own molex style plugs & no stray wires.

Cool, I have an odd + wire by the fuse box under the hood. It's corroded & has been "hanging around" for some time. I traced it to the front bumper & noticed witness marks on the grille. Seems a previous owner had lights (I'd assume) mounted on the grille. How freaking dumb is that?! lol
