where is the switch for the under hood light on my 94 s10 blazer. light has power and works just won't shut off . some help would be appreciated ....

 

remove bulb

 

i dont think that there is a switch. mine has a mercury switch. i dont think that they actually use mercury anymore. but the way they used to work is after enough angle the mercury would move in the tube it was in and trigger the switch to activate the light. so yeah, if the light wont turn off, either unplug it or take the bulb out.

 

my other blazer had a switch and would shut off thats why i want to fix it on my new blazer. i installed leds with a plug but would like it to turn its self off ,

The way I did my underhood led was to remove the bulb and tap into the actual bulb socket for the led power.

 

cut my socket off but i found some mercury switches on ebay for $7 thanks
