Default Window problems

I just bought an 81 k5 2wd silverado edition. The problems with it are mainly the power windows. The driver's door won't go up or down but I can hear the motor run when I click the switch up or down. This sound like a regulator?

The passenger side works fine other than it's painfully slow. This sound like a switch or motor?

And as for the tailgate the PO really messed up the wiring there.. the motor tests bad when I apply power to it on it's own. Also the regulator looks a bit worse for wear. This sounds like a total rebuild correct? Also would anyone happen to have a good way to rewire that or a link to how to identify the wires? Also how would I bypass the lock in the tailgate that keeps the tailgate from opening with the window up?

Any and all help is appreciated.

the rear window motor has 2 wires going to it, both are positive. one sends the window up the other sends the window down and the motor itself grounds to the tailgate. with this truck being so old the hinges might be really rusty back there providing a bad ground to the motor or the motor itself is just going on.

both fronts sound like motors or regulators. i believe they are one piece. i had a suburban with 4 electric windows and they were all slow and annoying

Awesome. Found out the driver's door is just a motor, got it fixed. The passenger's side seems to be the same, and the tailgate needs a regulator and motor unfortunately. I'll probably rewire it all and set it up from scratch because of how badly the wires were cut in the back.

Rewiring it to have a dedicated ground to the rear gate and a relay setup will greatly decrease the voltage drop that the factory wiring has and will make the rear window go up much more quickly and reliably.

Also check the window weather stripping in the passenger door for binding on the window as the window moves - been there done that
