Default Window Regulator Banging

I just replaced the window motor in my 02 blazer. Now when I roll the window up and it gets all the way to the top, the regulator makes a loud bang. sometimes it happens once then stops, sometimes a few times real quick. When i had the door apart i noticed the regulator would rub on the inside of the door and push the metal door inward then slip, and the door would pop back out, so im pretty sure this is what the noise is. Also, the door panel pops inward away from the door, synonymous with the noise, but i guess its possible the gear is slipping. Can anyone tell me if they've had a similiar problem, and how to fix it besides replacing the regulator. I think i may be able to bend the regulator arm back into place a little (assuming it is bent). Any thoughts on this?
