Question Windshield Wipers will not turn off

Hi All,

2000 Blazer:

I am unable to turn off the wind shield wipers. As of now I have to pull the plug at the wiper motor to stop them. I did not see a relay in the box for front wipers or is this something I may have Missed?

Any Suggestions on a fix? Thanks in advance,.

Don

It's your wiper motor. The soldering points go bad in them. There have been plenty of people who have re-soldered them but if you don't have the time or tools your local part store should have a replacement.

Thanks for your suggested fix lazyboyjake. Could you define what you mean by soldering points. I am not sure as what you mean. Is that something inside the motor housing? The harness that connects to the motor?

the circuit boards are usually built into the motor. on some models you can change just the circuit board but might as well just change the whole thing. my 1990 used to the same thing and i could smack the motor and they would stop
