wiring my tach

Default wiring my tach

all right, im trying to wire my tachometer to my 1986 chevy k5 blazer. i know its supposed to connect somewhere under the distrbutor cap. on my cap theres a side to it that on the left side says tach and on the right says bat, its a red wire on the tach side and my tachometer wire is green. are those the two that are supposed to go together? anyone know anything about this? i could use some help.
