GM decided to do something totally STUPID... they wired headlights with the constant being POWER instead of ground. 9007 3 wire plugs are ground for low - center POSITIVE - ground for high so depending on which mode u have it in depends on which ground it connects. idiots lol. but yea pretty much any and every plug i've come across for headlights so far (not sure about the newer stuff - who knows maybe they smartened up and went like the rest producing cars) is reverse polarity from the "norm" or standard. altho this makes it easier to eliminate the need for a relay harness as u can just cut and splice in a fresh uninterrupted power straight from the battery so long as your wiring is right on the HID kit.

HID's can appear different colors looking at them at different angles, but I agree with pj the 10000K are really blue, you start loosing visibility at that tempurature, best to keep them from 4000K-6000K for best visibility

Yeah that's true I probably don't get as much visibility as my friend with 6000k. I just wanted that nice blue instead of clear. Debating whether or not I want to hook up a relay harness still since I ordered one.. Next up on my modifications is either fog lights, or body lift (2 or 3 inches, since its 2WD). How much do you all think fog lights would be and the body lift? Already have flows on it and tint!

body lift and a good set of fog lights will probably be less than $300

i have the 5000K for my LB's & HB's, and i find them to be quite "white", but like Ryan said, at a good angle to the side (like 60+*), they do appear to be slighty blue "ringed".

was thinking about switching up to the 6000K bulbs, but i think they'll be too blue for me, so i'll stay with the 5000K bulbs.

if u have the relay harness ordered up - install it as it gives your HID's a direct feed from the batt rather than going thru the GM harness.

One of my friends has the same kit I have from ddm but in 4500k and his are actualy bluer than mine

I think that the best all rounder is 5000k, they are the same color as my sylvania silverstar ultras in my high beams.

Yeah I'm planning on installing the harness sometime this weekend. I was just told what it's like to drive in front of these and my friend in his Solara hates the blinding light ha. What kind and where should I get a lift kit and fog lights?

The body kit seems to be good, but it said "Vehicles with Vortec V6 may require modification to the air intake." I have that engine, would it really need to be changed? and the lights I like the price, but would I need a grill type/KC deal or something to mount them on?
