Default 1980 Cutlass Supreme

Well this weekend I was out at the girl freinds grandparents farm and in one of the garages was her moms old Two door cutlass. The car has been owned by the family since new and hasn't really been driven for the past 15 years. Now this has me thinking, Is it worth pickin it up for cheap and working on it a bit? The interior is mint with the exterior having a few minor rust spots/ dents, the car still has the factory mag rims on it aswell. I have been told it has the 305, 5.0 with 140,000 km driven on it.

Can anyone tell me more about this car? Is there lots of aftermarket parts out there for it?

Thanks

theres plenty of aftermarket parts for a 5.0 and a cutlass
but if your talking about making some power, you are better off swapping a 350 in it

Well... First off. If it's original and has a v-8 oldsmobile it'll be a 307 or a 262. I'm thinking the '80model is a smaller body style like the '79. In '81 they were the normal g-body platform like the montecarlo and grandprix. Alot of parts between the three are interchangable. But there's not much on the market if it has the original oldsmobile v8. But it's not hard to swap a chevy motor in. The staters is on the opposite side on the 307olds. I swapped a sbc350 into an '87 I had. I'm not sure on the 4.3 v8. My buddy has a '79 with that motor but we live 2hrs from each other.
