I also wore a uniform and there are vets on both sides of my family. My grandpa is a WWII vet, was standing guard when the treaty was signed to end the war with Japan. Watching the news only adds to my stress level.

I do agree about the incompetence of our current administration. Both of you have made some good points. Just remember the lessons learned from history so that we do not repeat them. Now I can't say that I have the answer but I do say finish the job and return with honor.

Agreed. well spoken bigkhans.
as for the coupons, really? a pic isn't good enough of a momento give a guy the option of free food or something for a shadow box. who ever opts out of free food should have their man card revoked on the spot...

and Burger King in Iraq aint the half of it On Camp Victory, there is a Cinnabon, Church's Chicken, Taco Bell, Burger King, Pizza hut, Coffee Shop (cant remember the name but the Sweet Tea rox!), and I believe a subway..... Hell, i have a "Pizza Hut" Iraq rubber drink coaster on my desk.

How does THAT make you feel about this 'war' ? Also when the first Burger King Trailer opened up in the "Green Zone" (now international zone) it was the highest grossing BK in the WORLD...

If either of the wars were winnable I'd say stay the course too, but it has turned into a "Holy War", and therefore will never be won for centuries to come. that is why I want people to TALK and try to resolve it before we waste any more money, lives, and energies!

A very enlightening movie avail. on Netflix, where is is instantly downloadable or rent in CD form if you'd rather is titled "ISLAM: What the West Should Know". The movies has suicide bombers (who never went thru with their act or they wouldn't be on TV eh?--LOL--), and Arabic, AND Jewish/ Israeli scholars who all say similar things about this Holy (Jihad-mentality) we in the West know VERY little about!

The Quran started out all flowery and lovie-dovie much like our Christian bible did, well, at least the new Testament that is! But Muhaummad, and others started killing people (we being included as infidels). This is NO joke people. They are allowed according to Shiria Law in the Quran to go kill in the name of Allah, if we will not submit, as in CONVERT to Islam! They ALSO get a 10-year truce to re-group and re-organize, according to Shiria Law, (the bad side of the Quran)...
Also, the northernmost expansion of the mighty Islamic armies got as far north to Vienna (capital of) Austria in 1580-something I think they said!?

BEFORE the Christian armies/Vatican-etc; pushed them BACK to the Middle East. Guess what day they lost Vienna and got their ***** kicked on? Why SEPTMBER 11th of course!!! Talk about holding a grudge! They may have very well used this day for the 9/11 bombings, as alot of fundamentalist/extremist Muslims STILL hold a grudge going back 1,000 years ago when the Crusaders came down hard on Saladeen, killing and torturing alot of them. But they were defending the Holy Land of Jerusalem, -etc; It wasn't all one-sided as the manipulative Muslims would have us believe these days!!! yes the Christian Crusaders did horrible things but in retaliation to horrible acts the Muslim armies ALSO did! *wink*

The Muslims know EXACTLY how to manipulate the west into feeling like they are being victimized, and in Palestine they are. But Israel is a democracy and one of our FEW allies left like India, Russia, and China, so we NEED all the help we can get now! I left out France and Germany, 'cause they stay pretty neutral it seems. A few more terrorist bombings will bring them around to our defense I reckon!

Don't get me wrong, I love the people, landscape, geography, foods, and 'Can-do' spirit that is America! It is out GOOBERMUNT I have disdain for, because we keep electing these dumb-asses. Case in point, Nixon (who was intelligent even though his own mother didn't like him, so that tells you something right there!), Nixon said Reagan was Dumb, and Reagan said Dubbya was Dumb, so we've had a "Dumb and Dumber" screenplay playing out on the national stage for almost 30 years.

Hey! GREAT title for a movie eh? "Dumb and Dumber" I mean ---LMFAO---- and our ludicrous policies show this as our goobermunt is "beholden to their corporate slave-masters" --Ralph Nader--right again Ralphie Boy!--LOL!!!

Eh.. I don't think what they say matters.

1)They attacked us on our soil and threaten us of terrorism (they also claim they have guys over here looking for a way to hit us again)
2)We go kick there *** for attacking us and trying to spread terrorism.

Simple as that. We're in the process right now. Yes it is exspensive but really..it's worth it.

I'm a firm believer that if we weren't over there and hadn't been, there would have been/could be more attacks on not only the U.S. but other countries as well.

That being said, would you rather just pull out now and destroy everything we've worked for, let the terrorist (who are now nuclear capable, and werent when this war started) go back to reaking havic and drawing up plans to attack again?

no, but well said brother.

while this is MPO, there are plenty of others who would (and do) dispute the fact that in fact, we the West, are escalating this beyond what it was originally intended.

HUH?!?! the fight was brought to our home soil, and we misinterpreted it? how the hell do you misinterpret that!?!
