Default About...

35 plus years of wrenching for necessity, not employment. Always drove old junk so it was necessary to spend weekends under the vehicles.

78 K5 350 4 speed totally rebuilt from front to back except for rusted rockers, 95 S10 also rebuilt front to back and a 2020 Ford 250 SD Xcab for a going travelling rig. We drove the K5 long distance on vacation 3 years but with all that glass, black paint and a rebuilt AC system it was too hot. The S10 is too valuable for short trip driving to drive long distance but it will do it. Drove it from TN to FL a couple years ago.

Electronic engineer with an ASMET mechanical degree. ISO 9000 Auditor. Member SAE and IEEE.
R & D and industrial electrical and electronic engineering. Helped develop the big blue dispensing cabinets that Fastenal leases- vending machines that dispense tools and industrial supplies. 15 years M/L of high volume electronics repair experience- Sears Hi Tech and others doing TV, VCR and Audio repair. Was listed in Marquiss Who's-Who in engineering but I refused to buy their $250 book and they eventually dropped my listing. A listing in that book and $2.50 will buy a cup of coffee.

Have a smidgen of nuclear related experience on the INL RTP preliminary design project. My wife is a ME PE in the nuke world.

Reverse engineered the electrical system failures and other mechanical system failures in the mid 1980s Honda 1200 Goldwings. Developed and sold a wiring repair harness for them. It was reviewed in Road Rider magazine about 1989. Gl1200harness.tripod.com.
That project, exposing Honda's failures and GWRRAs covering it up for Honda must have really made someone unhappy because they
came and torched my Goldwing one night. The Fire Marshall said someone poured gas on it.

Former Author and National Technical Director for the American Goldwing Association in the 1990s. Wrote articles on performance improvements on the GL1200s. Tuned two 1200s with only aftermarket spark plugs that would absolutely roast the back tire. 0- 60 in 3.9 seconds.

Designed, built and tested a propane vapor fuel system for the 95 S10. It was all calculated design except for one flow test on a modified injector- the stock injectors were modified for propane vapor. It got exactly the same mpg as on gas, about 23 highway. It used propane grill tanks as a fuel source. No hot water vaporizer needed. Designed and built a PC data collection system using a National Instruments USB DAQ system to monitor and record the engine parameters such as O2 sensor voltage, RPM and injector pulse timing and pulse widths while driving on propane. National wanted me to do a presentation on that project at a seminar but they were too cheap to pay my travel expenses so I refused to attend and give them free advertising.

Welding fabricating and machining experience. Have done precision MIG on steel to 0.010" accuracy.

Four Patents issued on and related to a handicap accessible telescope. I wrote, filed and prosecuted 3 US Patents without an Attorney ( pro-se filing) US 7752956

Ham radio Extra class and broadcast / GMRS commercial licensed. Ham related videos on YouTube under K8BYP. Also k8byp.tripod.com or Google my call sign. Designed and built special wide bandwidth HF and VHF antennas. 30 wpm Morse code speed. 4 year project to totally reverse engineer and restore and modify the Drake TR 3.

2nd place in AMA Open class ATV racing about 1989. 250 R Honda three wheeler. It's totally rebuilt except for the rear mono shock.

huge congrats that's a lot of accolades. on the social flip side Im not sure I want to be your neighbor. who can compete with that guy's dual fuel nuclear propane lawn tractors from hell? Gawd I hate that guy... jealous Much? Or I'd at least try to get you to re-engineer my weed whip to run on chew spit. Note I'm making fun of my redneck college-educated self, and those in this country that would not know how to appreciate your Genius... you sir are highly needed here and probably underutilized. my humblest stumbleiest compliments.
