The Advantages Of Working At A Grocery Store
#1
Working at a grocery store isn't as fun as it sounds, but every now and then it pays off. At the store where I work at a soda vendor was runing a promotion to get their brand out there. It worked out as simple as you only have to pay for sales tax, but you have to buy at 2 two liter bottles and it can be as many as you want as it is an even number (and they have them in stock). So, I bought 48 two liter bottles and only paid $3 for them.

Damn sweet. I work for a hardware store chain and can take damaged products from the warehouse for pennies on the dollar. Stuff like beautytone paint, fertilizer, dirt, cleaners, pet food - stuff like that. If its got a dent, or bags got a hole, it doesnt get shipped to the stores.
We have a charity auction once per year of damages big stuff, furniture, matresses, appliance. Its staff only, and proceeds get donated to local charities.

Where I work, I get the usual empoyee discount in the store but get great bargains on ammo that has been returned, either to us or from other stores. Pretty much about ten cents on the dollar. Not sure I'll be able to shoot it all up in my life time but I'll give it a try!
