I'm looking to buy a 96 model bronco. My plan is to get one that has a great body and fix any mechanical issues that it might have.

I just have a few general questions.
How reliable are these compared to the Blazers? Do they eat through suspension parts like the blazer?
Which engines are the most reliable from the last generation models and which one has more upgrade options in terms of rebuilding/changing internal components for higher performance?
And lastly about trannies, are the manuals more reliable? I don't mind driving either so not sure which to go with.

 

That's the wrong breed, But I also own a 98.5 Dodge Cummins 2500 4WD so what can I say........
