Default Bad news, seeking advice

Looks like my Blazer has--at a minimum--blown a head gasket. I don't have time to do the repairs now, or a place to work, so I've lined up a replacement vehicle (full-size Chevy truck). But what to do with my poor Blazer?

I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to sell it as a parts truck, part it out, or just (gasp) sell it to the scrappers. Anyone who's done this have any advice?

Thanks,
Jim

recently i been casually looking for a old s10s for the frame to stick my 1952 chevy truck onto it. seems the going rate for non running trucks or rotted frame trucks is around 700-1000.

so maybe just throw it on craigslist for what you think its worth and maybe just lower the value if no one is interested. some people might be looking for a s10 for a v8 swap

As you can see only one has responded back to you in 7 days. But I`ll give you my opinion. This forum isn`t what it used to be.I would figure out what you want for it as is first.Do you think you can make more money parting it out or just selling as is?What`s the condition of your ride?If your ride is in decent shape..All it needs is a head gasket..I would post it on craigslist.I had an 81 chevy Malibu from 1991-2015.I didn`t want to get rid of her.But I luckily I sold her 3 days after I posted it on craiglist.Like the saying goes.."one mans junk is another mans treasure" You won`t sell I you don`t post it somewhere. The last thing you want to do is scrap it.The junk yard will only give you about$300.00-$500.00 for it.Once you figure out what`s the value of your ride as is..Post it on craigslist.Try that first..If that doesn`t work sell it as parts.I`m sure someone will be looking for the whole truck or the parts off of it.

Good luck let me know how that goes!
