Buying a Car! Need Help!
#11
1) Always been a non smoking vehicle.
So please reply to me if you need additional information.
2) P.S:The phone company make some upgrades in my area and my phone line is down . If you have other questions , please email me and I will reply asap .
3) Shipping will be done via DAS and it will take no more then 2-3 days top (depending on your exact location).
I have a contract with Yahoo Finance so this deal must go through them. I'm very busy with my job and I'm left out of the town so I can't meet in person with you so this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. According to Yahoo Finance you have 5 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
Here is how it will work: (blah, blah, blah....)
4) "1970 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport, 4-SPEED ! Very Rare Factory A/C Car. Here is a North Texas, with NO Undercoating, Rally Sport Camaro (again, blah, blah, blah..........)
So please reply to me if you need additional information.

1) it'll be interesting to see how long he says he's owned it for, and how far back he can go with the history of it.
2) isn't that convenient!
3) same companies that was was being used on a '05 Bettle i was looking @ for my Mother last year. same circumstances, same deal-RUN!!
wait a minute! if he's busy & out of town because of work, who the hell cares if the phone company is screwing around with his home phone? besides, who doesn't have a cell now-a-days?? especially if he's on the road for work so much!
4) unless there's a build sheet (and if memory serves me correct) you'll likely not find one with a GM product from that era, it's impossible to prove anything came from the factory.
i'm into the old muscle cars, and i've seen plenty of bogus (politest word i could think of) stuff tried to be passed off as "correct" or "factory equipment".
if you and your Dad are seriously looking for a nice car (project or other wise), i have penty of friends that you could talk to, for info, or even a vehicle.
It's usually covered by a "My husband divorced me so I'm selling the car for next to nothing." I saw a 60's split window 'Vette for 4,500 once with that story... I just laughed and kept browsing.

And just outside of Barrie!

and Brad, if you're looking @ that one that Pat pointed out, i can tell ya it's mint, and it's in Keswick, just around the corner from my Dad's place. was trying to get him to go talk to the guy (he had a '72 327 SS when i was a kid), he wouldn't bite!

I seriously can't believe the OP is still thinking this is a real deal. I have a really nice bridge for sale in Brooklyn... but my phone line is down, my cell battery is dead, and my mailbox was stolen. But don't worry, it's ligit... really.

we are talking about the Brooklyn bridge, right? 'cause i sure don't want to pay for some little, unknown bridge.
if i send you a cashier's check right away, will you hold the sale of your bridge for me?
sorry Brad, i'm not making fun of you, it's just been so long since i heard the ol' "Brooklyn Bridge for sale" joke.

Yeah sounds too good to be true to me too. That car is easily worth 15,000 the way it is. if it was an ss w/ a big block it would be even more. a 70 camaro is pretty rare the front bumper is why it looks so different. The trunk is common to rust out on this gen camaro so look under it (if its really a real car) and see if the trunk has been replaced. when the trunk rusts out it causes the leafsprings to go through the trunk on these. i def think its a scam though. My friend has a 69 Nova SS w/396 and 4 speed and i know he won't even think about coming off of it for less than 20 grand.

I don't think its real, Never did. My dad did. And if you look at the link in my last post you will see I found the exact car for $16,000. Go look.

you and your Dad should contact the real seller (in your last post) and the local Police down there, maybe help them nab this tool. @ the very least, give a "heads up" to the proper owner.
*EDIT* hmmm..........i was thinking after i threw that up there, how can you tell if the second listing is a ligit one or not. just 'cause it has a more realistic price attached to it, does that make it any more real? kinda being the conspiracy theroist, but you've already found one that sure looks bogus.
better to just contact our local OPP/Barrie Police, and inform them of what you've found (along with the email conversations), and let them look into it/decide if it needs more attention.
and better to do it sooner than later, 'cause you know the ad ain't gonna be up for long. the one i told you about (for that Bettle) was only up there for 3 or 4 days i think, before it came down-and i was still emailing this "woman". only found out the ad was gone when i went to show my mother the pic's.
*whew* ok, i'm done now.
