Calendar Group Buy

Ok so I'm creating a poll to get this thing moving. We all realize that it is practically the end of January already, but lets show your support. :icon_hyper:

The initial thought was to create this for the Canadian members to figure out how many calendars need to be sent to the great white north. If you live in Canada and would be willing to purchase a calendar (at cost), please vote on the poll using the Qty 1-4 in Canada as applicable. I also added Qty 1-4 in USA and Qty 1-4 International options.

The poll is public.

For those that are putting this together, please put a price breakdown for shipping and for the actual cost based on a few different overall quantities (if discounts apply in quantity for the calendars to be made initially).

Hopefully this works for everyone. For the pertinent discussion threads, please CLICK HERE and CLICK HERE.

old skool luvr 01-25-2011 08:58 AM

thanks for getting that done for me Kyle.

oops, sorry about that (posted by accident)

ok, so i have a break down of what the shipping costs would be for us Canadian members.

Class: Other Lettermail (Non-standard & Oversize)
Size: 380mm x 270mm x 20mm (maximum)
Weight: 100 grams
Cost: $1.25

this is what the charges would be for Other International Destinations.

Class: Other Letter-post (Non-standard & Oversize)
Size: 380mm x 270mm x 20mm (maximum)
Weight: 100 grams
Cost: $4.10

the cost of 10 bubble envelopes is $12.99 @ the post office with exterior dimensions of 10 1/2" x 15 1/2". now i know 15 1/2" is 394mm, but the lady @ the post office assured me that those would not be charged extra.

------> i never bothered with any US rates, since it doesn't make sense to ship them up here, then back down there. :icon_razz:

again, the final package has to fit into the above dimensions with out any additional charges being incured.

so, Canadian members, we're looking @ $2.55 plus GST & PayPal fee, for a total of $3.06 CAN. International orders would be $5.40 plus GST & PayPal fee, for a total of $6.14 CAN. GST is 5% for those that don't know.

you can view PayPal's fee policy HERE.

please note: for any orders that i would be shipping, there is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR MY TIME.

i mean, the post office is like 4 blocks from my house, and i pass it whenever i'm dropping off my kids @ school.

ok, my rad finally arrived, i'm outta here. :icon_couchhide:

zedartwo 01-25-2011 10:52 AM

Sounds about good cuz I can pick mine up from you Chris!

streblo 01-25-2011 03:17 PM

Put me down for one

swartlkk 01-25-2011 03:21 PM

The US rates should be posted by whoever is going to be sending them them here (in the US).

old skool luvr 01-25-2011 03:35 PM

i figured Cat would just take care of that, since she's getting them made up.

oktain 01-25-2011 05:02 PM

I'm down for one.

'96-Dirty4x4 01-25-2011 05:24 PM

Alrighty! Finally, I'm slow, but I made it. lol

Calendars cost $20 each.

The shipping price in the US is $4.95, that's for a flat-rate Priority Mail padded envelope, which takes 6-10 business days to deliver.

If you order more than three, I will have to get back to you on that price.

For those ordering in the US, you can go ahead and message me, and I'll give you instructions on sending payment via Paypal, that way I can go ahead and get them sent out for you. ;)

If anyone has any questions for me, message me, I get to it faster. XD

*EDIT* I went ahead and added my vote too. :D

kiwiblazer 01-26-2011 12:37 AM

Wow! Are there really only 3 members in the entire UNITED STATES OF AMERICA who want a calendar? These things are cheap out there! I'm the one who should be crying! :) LOL AND I've sent Cat payment for 2 of them! Cat - check your PayPal a/c. & the e-mail I've sent you.

'96-Dirty4x4 01-26-2011 07:13 AM

We Americans fail. XD j/p I would have thought more people from the US would buy since that's where most of the pictures came from. But, what can ya do?

swartlkk 01-26-2011 09:18 AM

Let me get this put into the description of the lounge and see if the additional exposure changes things.

*EDIT* - Ok, that's done:
https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...1&d=1296055682

I also put up an announcement which should show in all sections at the top (not that too many people actually look at those).

old skool luvr 01-27-2011 01:42 AM

well..........only a couple of days left.

and only 11 calendars ordered?

:icon_doh:

97CountryJukeboxLt 01-27-2011 08:11 AM

I'll take one, i'll give you the info in a bit when i'm out of school lol

CraigSnedeker 01-27-2011 08:12 AM

Ordering one!

I feel bad for the person who got January! He's gonna be overlooked.

cbr995 01-27-2011 10:38 AM

I'll go ahead and order one. Heck I'm in it.

zedartwo 01-27-2011 10:29 PM

Its gonna be (wait for calendar to see what month I'm in) all year round anyways!

'96-Dirty4x4 01-27-2011 11:25 PM

Here's the pictures that are in the calendar, for those who want to see them. They are in order of what month they are for.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...cs/1-Cover.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/2-Jan.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/3-Feb.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/4-Mar.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/5-Apr.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/6-May.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/7-Jun.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/8-Jul.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Pics/9-Aug.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ics/10-Sep.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ics/11-Oct.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ics/12-Nov.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ics/13-Dec.jpg

And sorry, Jon, for yours being January. I blame my hubby for that. We had a decent debate over it, resulting in him winning. lol Cause he was right. Your pic went best with the month. XD

ohsofly 01-28-2011 05:49 PM

Can I get a PM with the paypal info??? I set up an account on there, just waiting for my small bank deposits to verify my account...

streblo 01-28-2011 07:17 PM

:(poop

old skool luvr 01-29-2011 02:01 AM

woo hoo! i made August!

don't worry Jon, i'll have January's pic up for February (don't know which member that is anyways ) :icon_shrug:

this is just a suggestion Cat. when you're posting up thumbnails, hit the space bar after each "image paste", and after 4, hit enter. otherwise we end up with a post that is 4 screens wide.

glad to see more members are showing interest.

seems like we have 8 Canadian members wanting some calendars. who wants to take care of dealing with the Canadian distrubution? as far as i'm concerned, we can all pay Cat directly (once we figure what the shipping breaks down to for each of us) and they can then all be sent to me if you wish. or someone can take it, doesn't matter to me.

any idea who the international order was placed by? :icon_denk:

Sorry about that. I thought it might do that, but it turned out fine on my screen so I didn't fix it. But I just did for you. ;)

Also, that was Ken, kiwiblazer. I'm waiting on only one for him. The printing company is being "weird" [I didn't know any other nice word to use, else I'd be going on a cussing rampage] and saying that since I'm ordering them a couple at a time, they're having to set them aside to do large orders. But they are getting printed, just slow. -.- Irritates me cause I asked the manager directly if this would happen and he said no.

streblo 01-29-2011 11:45 PM

oh man i didnt even think of ripping out a page so mine is on top....thats the advantage mine can be on top EVERY MONTH...ahaha suckers...but then i would have a wrecked blazer calendar that i couldnt cherish forever...hmm..the delimma..maybe if i just remove the staples and re staple it..lol

Haha! If you want, I can have them make your calendar with just your Blazer. ;)

streblo 01-30-2011 12:32 AM

ahaha no, i have to look at that thing every day!...lol..(not that its a bad thing) when you love a blazer you dont mind flipping a few pages to see yours when you get to see a few others as you flip! (oh good new line for the you know you love your blazer when thread)

My hubby would disagree with that some days. lol Like yesterday as I washed the truck. ;) But thank you!

Yeah, last day! Whoo! And since the poll is already closed, here is the final price that needs to be sent to me from each person in Canada.

Final Canadian Price: $23.50 [for 1 calendar, +$20 for any additional]

Whoever wants to go ahead and send payment via Paypal, [email protected]

So people aren't waiting forever to get their calendars because I'm waiting on one or two people to pay, I will wait 2 weeks from tomorrow, Monday, to send the calendars to Chris, I will cover whatever will be left of the shipping cost. If you still want a calendar after that point, you will have to pay the full shipping charge of $11.95 to ship directly to your house.

Also, Chris, if you could message me your address when you get a chance, that way I have it and don't get confused later down the road. I know I will. Thank you!

thanks for putting that up Cat.

so that works out to be $163.50 for the 8 calendars, making it $20.44 each, right? but is that US or Canadian dollars? (i'm thinking it's in US$)

and since no one else had offered to take care of the Canadian distribution, i guess i'll take care of it (like you suggested).

and just so every Canadian member can see what they need to send me, once the calendars arrive here, i'll copy in my post from the 1st page (saves you going back to confirm it).

don't worry guys, i'll send out pm's once they have arrived @ my place.

but if ALL of the Canadian members who ordered one could just post a quick, "i ordered x# of calendars" here in this thread, then it'll be easier to send the pm's out to the right members.

sending you a pm Cat.

Price I put was per person. Since some are ordering 2. Which is actually a total of 10 calendars. Total is $227.95 [including shipping from me to you]. o.o That's a lot. And yeah, price I put is US.

$23.50 US Dollars = $23.5141 Canadian Dollars

I think.... Please correct me if I'm wrong. XD

:icon_doh: forgot to calculate that there was 2 of us ordering 2 calendars each.

i'm kinda lost on your math though-but i've been having a real bad night with #'s for some reason.

first calendar is $23.50, correct? then each calendar after that is $20 flat.

so $23.50 plus 9 @ $20 equals $203.50. so that works out to be $20.35US for each calendar that is ordered from you, by us Canadians.

we were doing a large order for all of us Canadians, to save on the shipping charges. hence why we're all splitting the total cost between all of us.

does that make sense to you now? :icon_shrug:

please feel free to correct me on any of the above. like i said, i've been having a bad day with #'s. don't really know why, but it seems like it's been a battle.

does this make sense to everyone else?

The poll is now closed, but I can open it up again.

Chris, that sounds about right to me. There should only be one shipping charge to get them over the boarder.

'96-Dirty4x4, so that would make my total ~$45 to you for 2 calendars shipped in the US, correct? If so, expect a PP payment sometime today.

Here is the current orders (see attached).

Sisk 01-31-2011 08:16 AM

I'm passing for this year. Thanks though.

oktain 01-31-2011 10:00 AM

I'm good for one, I'll put my username in the paypal comments. Thanks Cat.

I know what you mean by having trouble with numbers. x.x I was never good with math in school. But the total shipping cost that you all are splitting is $27.95. So 10 calendars x $20 = $200.00 + $27.95 = $227.95.

Since there is only 8 people ordering, $27.95 / 8 = 3.49375 or $3.50. So total per person ordering just one calendar is $23.50. Total per person ordering two, $43.50.

Then they have to send you directly the shipping cost from your house to them which you figured out to be $1.25.

Sound about right? That's all in US$ too.

Yep that's the price! ^^

I'll go ahead and call the guy up to tell him all the calendars I need.

streblo 01-31-2011 11:54 AM

sisk is opting out, so thats 9 calendars to canada.
since everyone is paying seperate there would be no need to do a 7X20 or 9x20
so thats 7 different people
2 people are getting 2 calendars
to be completly even you would divide the shipping across 9 calendars, so each calendar would have equal shipping attached to it. But im not to sticky on that, if your getting 2 calendars then im not going to argue about not paying shipping on the second.
shipping is 27.95 - divided across 7 users is $3.99 PER PERSON
that makes the FIRST calendar $23.99
Second calendar + $20 which makes it $43.99 for 2 calendars paid to Cat.

we can work out shipping in canada once thats all said in done and its a seperate payment so no need to include it in calculations to cat.

Im down for one still.

I will get my payment off to cat hopefully tonight when i get some free time at home

ohsofly 01-31-2011 12:23 PM

I cant wrap my brain around all these numbers and such... I just need a paypal account number and how much... Im a canadian order, who am I paying and how much do you want?

EDIT: after messing around a while an re-reading it... I figured it out. I sent 23.50 to Catherine...? Hope thats what I was supposed to do... Whoever needs my mailing addy, just ask Ill PM it to ya. Ya! First paypal transaction of my life...

Jon's got it right. I didn't realize that Sisk opted out. So yes.

FINAL CANADIAN PRICE: $23.99 for first calendar, +$20 for every additional

$3.99 goes towards the shipping from me to Chris, not from Chris to you.

FINAL US PRICE: $24.95 for first calendar, +$20 for every additional up to 3.
Shipping is more if you want more than 3.

$4.95 is the one time charge for the shipping from me to you.

Due date to have payment in for Canada is: V-Day 2/14/11

People have waited long enough for these calendars, so I'm not going to make everyone wait for one or two people to send the money. If you still want a calendar after that day, you will have to pay $11.95 shipping from my house to yours, so total of $31.95 for first calendar, +$20 for every additional up to 3.

Payment can be sent via Paypal to [email protected]

All personal information will be confidential. Only I [and Chris if you're in Canada] will have your address.

If there are any further questions, you can e-mail or message me.

swartlkk 01-31-2011 02:39 PM

Payment sent.

oh, i never had an issue with math, i was just having a bad day. :icon_shrug:

ok. so now we have a total of 9 calendars being ordered to Canada (amongst 7 members). 9 calendars @ $20 each is $180 for the calendars. plus $27.95 for shipping.

so that's $180 + $27.95 = $207.05

$207.95 divided by the total # of calendars is $23.11 for each calendar. since Tom (Rottidog) & i are ordering 2 each, we each need to send a payment of $46.22.

the whole idea of getting a bulk order of calendars was to evenly split the shipping cost between each calendar.

if you guys that only ordered a single calendar want to pay more shipping ($3.99 vs $3.11) then by all means i'm down for that. and i'm sure Tom would be too (it's saving us money).

but how i just figured it out, is how i had originally proposed the deal. i know Thomas (ohsofly) has already sent his payment to Cat, but is that how everyone wants to proceed?

sorry if it seems like i'm trying to drag this out, but i sure as hell don't want anyone saying, "well, i paid more than you for something i never got............". i just want us all to be on the same page.

correct Cat.

and after i'm done sending out everyone's calendar, i'll delete your personal info from my files.

streblo 01-31-2011 10:38 PM

Im not going to argue about 44 cents, i really dont care that much.
But if you look at it this way, if we didnt do that, and you ordered straight from cat, 2 calendars would cost you the same amount of shipping as one calendar.

Im fine with splitting amongst members and not calendars, if anyone else has an issue pipe up!

$23.99 USD payment for one calendar sent.

oktain 02-06-2011 11:45 PM

Paypal's giving me hell about my Credit card expiring in 3 months and won't fund me... I'll get it sorted out though, good thing I live at home. MOMMY!
