Default Carb not working correctly

My mechanic installed an Edelbrock 750 cfm carb on my 1979 Blazer, Stock 350, and we have the idle screw bottomed out and the idle is about 1000 rpms after warmed up. During cold start its about 1500-2000. Running very rich and very rough idle after warmed up. Bogs down if trying to accelerate slowly but if you get on it, drives fine. Having a hard time getting them to replace the new carb, is this carb too big for the stock 350?

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

That carb should be fine for that engine. It sounds to me like you might have a vacuum leak somewhere.

I'm not familiar with your carburetor, so I don't know if the mixture screws control the fuel or the air in the mixture. If they're air screws, bottoming them out, may be doing the opposite of what you're intending to do.

Hi, I also think it could be a leak.

Too big of a carb for a stock 350, plain and simple.
