Hey, it's electrical... it doesn't have to make sense! LOL
It would account for the load explosion sound he heard.
They also generate extreme heat when they deploy.
I say it's plausible.

Actually there is a fireman on here. Paging Mr. Swartlkk. lol.
But why is it that Chevys and fords always have horrid wiring that catches fire? Seems like every recall for both auto makers is some wire catching fire. I hope it all works out in the end. And I believe everything happens for a reason and keep your head up!

Oh and btw. Who you routing for in Bullrun? I used to laugh at girls and soap operas untill that show came out. Now I'm hooked and rambling about the ***** lambo and awesome cuda like girls debating cheating lovers on guiding light! lol if I'm not mistaken a firebird won the first one, chevy avalanche the 2nd. Been gm so far. But unless that h2 takes it we might not get a 3peat.

This is a long shot here, but, any chance the air bag blew off and the fire started as a result?
We know for a fact the airbag deployed after the fire. We watched it go off as the firemen were hosing the remains of the car down.

I'm down with team hummer or BMW so far, but team lambo seems to be regaining some reputation. Team NSX started actin like streight asshoes in episode 7 lol.

The more I think about what happened here, the more I realize how lucky we were rathar than unlucky. Im glad we werent in the car when it happened, Im also glad the car wasn't any closer to the hedge beside it or we would have had a neighborhood-wide fire. Im especially glad it wasnt parked in the garage or anywhere near my Blazer or our 1963 Sunbeam resto-project car. Things do happen for a reason...the family never much liked the van, and we might get an F150 to replace it
