Cold air intakes are a misnomer. There is no cold air in the engine compartment. The only benifit is from most cold air intakes system is because the filter assy. that thery provide is a less restrictive air filter than OEM. You are better off getting a drop in low restrictive air filter such as a K&N air filter. If you looking for results than get a drop in filter. If you just like the look and want to spend the money get a cold air intake system. Why do you think most cars draw the air in from outside of the engine compartment?

Yes like mr.vls says go with a low restrictive filter or at least a SRI. CAI would make me nervous if you do lots of offroading and go through large amounts of mud and water.

You still have the big round dish looking air filter housing with the air filter hose running to the front? If so get a drop in for that,it'll pull air in from the outside, and flow a little better.

Get a drop in K&N filter 1/4 the price and does the same thing ( allows more air in)

The round dishes allow much more air flow than the second generations square air box. So a drop in filter would work great for your set up.
