Default Bone Stock daily driver that had potential ...

Over the years I have owned four different S10's. I have always liked the ZR2 blazers, but I didn't need the HD drive train and I wanted the best MPG I could get. I ended up scoring a 1996 4.3 2dr 4wd 5sp Silver Blazer for 1,600 with 140k from the original owner, it is Really straight & Really clean. I get 17.5 mpg with the air conditioning on, and 21.25 MPG consistantly otherwise. It soon needed a Lower Intake Manifold Gasket and other misc. upkeep, and then I put Camaro rims on it, switched them out for 2wd Extreme wheels and slightly larger ( Tracker 2 ) tires. I am able to keep my wife from driving it , because she doesn't like loading things behind the seats. I ended up selling her car & now she is in a 1995 4 door Rodeo ( she loves it ), and I have that tank driving pretty good too ( but it gets 14 to 18 mpg ).

I bought the Blazer with the intentions of having something I can drag my toys with, a Cavalier wasn't great for that lol. I didn't even attempt it.

My Sierra I have now is my DD/street toy and that can haul anything I need it too alot easier than the Blazer did. Being regular cab with the 5.3 (with my CBE and CAI it makes ~300hp) it'll wipe my Blazer out from a stop.

old thread coming back because i'm looking for exhaust information and got sidetracked.

my blazer is my DD but at the same time is a toy. its only 2wd but is fun. i have a full system installed that will make your eyes shake but in 5 minutes can have 2 sheets of plywood in it and be used as a truck. i'm going to start working on some performance stuff soon so it'll be more toy

My blazer was bought as a Driver, and still is a driver that will be mutated into a toy that I will NEVER get rid of, unless it is Atomically Bombed.....

After it was totalled and me and the Fiancee's father got it back to primo, condition, I am just getting my hands dirty downing my own work like my wiring (which sucks and will be replaced, but works ) and after graduation I want a car so that the blazer can meet its growth spurt

My Zr2 I just purchased will be used as a daily for the winter then will turn into a weekend off roading toy. For the other seasons outta the year I have other toys such as a 1988 Fiero GT, 2008 Honda Civic Si, and a 2006 Triumph Daytona 675.

Mines a project right now. Haha. Soon to be my toy/dd =] And then hopefully I get enough money or good credit to get a Suburban as my next project and make the Blazer my weekend toy.
