yeah id love an s60 r but an 04 with 100,000 miles on it has kbb value of ten grand, more than i can afford lol. the gtps dont really get much better than 17 or 18 mpg do they? ive never owned one so im not sure. and yeah i know if im gonna be using the turbo and flying down the road ill get crap mileage, i usually drive easy on my cars but id like the power in case i need to get my adrenaline flowing, lol. and im looking to just find something with at least 20 mpg, and info on the three series? i know nothing about them but ive seen a couple for sale and like the way they look

Check Ebay & Cars. Com for pricing I believe KBB is way off of actual selling prices. KBB is mostly used for the loan value by financial institutions. I recant the above statement, I just looked at ebay and most of the S60 R's are from around 8-13K, still quite a drop of the original sticker. My 04 S60 R GT with Body Kit, Moon Roof, 18" wheels had all options except Nav. and the new sticker price was 45K.

I don't know how new of a car you're looking for, but I'd consider a Saab. (Sorry, I'm kind of biased.) My 9000 pushed about 15psi and the boost began at about 2500rpm. It had a modified airbox and 3" turboback as the only mods. I got 31mpg on 80mph highway trips and 22 in town. I wasn't too gentle either.

I really think the 93-98 9000 was the ultimate sleeper. It looked like a standard, boring sedan but had a giant hatch and would take off in any gear if you just stepped on it. Also the ecu has been cracked so you can use some open-source software to do your own computer upgrades.

If I was going to get a high gas mileage car I would seriously consider a Volkswagon TDI. It is proven technology, the engines can get a lot of miles out of them. The only problem is that there is quite the premium on the initial price that the dealers add on above the sticker price. I am not sure what the TDI cars go for used. But yea a TDI vehical would be a solid choice.

I know this is gettin off of the Chevy site that we are on, but why not a Ford Ranger? I had one come through my possession a while back that needed work, but had a gerat little V6 and 5spd manual.

You can pick up an Audi A4 with a manual trans for about 4 grand with 150,000 miles. great gas, pretty darn quick for a mid sized family sedan and awd... they're really fun in the snow...

I believe he said something with *****. A ford ranger would not be in this category, unless it was of course v8 swapped.
