i'm from TN too and they tend to follow me a lot cause my truck is loud. have been pulled over a few times like that too.

Great stories. I got pulled over not even two weeks after I got the 31's put on. I was late for work and driving about 48 in a 25, (I swear in the 24 years of my life I thought it was a 40mph zone!) Radar goes off and I see the cop fly up on me. I slow down to 40, (what I thought the speed was), and they followed for about 2 miles before pulling me over;

Her; How are you doing today? License registration and insurance please.

I give that over and she runs it, then comes back and asks;

her; How fast where you going?
me; I admit, I was going about 48-50. Speed limit is 40 right?
her; No speedlimit is 25.
me; Holy sh**... I'm sorry, I have always drove through here at 40mph.
her; Well the speed limit is 25, but I believe you cause you only slowed down to 40 while i followed you instead of 25 like most people would have. Has your speedometer been recalibrated for the larger tires?
me; No, but I know that it is about 10mph fast at 70, so I just stay 10 under at all speeds, so I might run a pinch slow, but I'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
her; Well most people just run and guess there speed. And since you didn't slow to 25 and only to 40, I figure you honestly didnt know the speed. I'm letting you off with a warning and don't make me see you again for this. Have a nice day and be safe.

For the first time in my life I got pulled over and didn't get a ticket! But yeah, some cops are total follow the law to a T and no one gets any sympathy. But some cops like the one that pulled me over are understanding people.
