Did you have an open cut on your hands?? Or were they just taking precautions?

Nope. And I washed my hands with bleach right after too. Didn't matter. It's a relatively cheap vaccination and is done as a precaution.

So i took the cat to animal control 1st thing this morning. The guy said it looks like it could possibly be rabies. Cats off to testing etc. This is gonna suck

In order to test for rabies the cats head has to be removed and brain tested. So r.i.p Mr kitty. Guy from the health department called me earlier and i missed the call. They wont answer the call now and its driving me nuts.

They remove the head and cut the head open and get some of the brain, then they do some type of direct florescent antibody test and if they see florescent spots in the brain then it is positive for rabies.
