I'll need another switch plate for the power fold is what I'm thinking lol. I rarely fold my mirrors by hand let alone power.

Did we the staff just hijack this thread?

I love the heated mirrors. Don't need them often, but it's great for the dew that settles on the glass overnight.
Also, I'm not positive, but if you have the 98+ with a rear window defroster, you'll also have heated mirrors. I've also noticed that any model standard with those also have a rear wiper or vice-versa.

No sir, my 05 had rear window defroster and wiper but no heated mirrors. You may need power mirrors though... which my Blazer had power nothing...

We have them on our trucks down here to, they have the little emblem in the corner of the mirrors. Are they filled with a liquid? the reason iam asking is the plastic at the bottom of my driver side mirror [passenger side for you left handers LOL] cracked and over a couple of weeks it was like watching the tide going out.LOL

Yea foxxie, it's a liquid - supposed to be the "anti-glare" for bright lights from behind. I had to replace my passenger one some time ago. The replacement I managed to get (used one) did not have this. So now I have a clear one & a tinted one.

The reason I replaced mine is the damn thing is a sealed unit & some yobbo's had folded it forward & stripped the folding gears. They're not easily available used but occasionally Bunce get them in & sell for around 200- 250 each!

I did get one with a broken mirror but there is no way to open it up without breaking the glass out & the the new glass (you'd need to get one cut) will probably break trying to get it behind the lip of the panel holding it in. And then you'd simple have a clear mirror.

Electric/Powerfold mirrors as new replacement are not available anywhere - I had a Japanese friend try find one in Japan with no luck! US have electric but not power fold.

Hey guys I have the power heated mirrors also on my 2002 4dr. (never knew this till I seen the "heated icon" in the top corner months after I bought it lol) anyway on my drivers side, the glass is cracked. I wanted to know if I could jus change the glass or I need a whole new housing and all. In either case can anyone give instuctions on how to replace/repair. Thanks alot fellas !!

while there are replacement pieces of mirror you can get @ your parts store, they won't have the "heat" in them.

it's really not that difficult to change the mirrors either. just remove your door skin, and you'll notice 3 black foam plugs in the forward upper corner of the door (right behind the mirror).

pop those plugs out, grab a 10mm socket, and extension & a ratchet, and remove the 3 bolts. easy as pie.

just remember to unplug the mirror before you remove the bolts & don't forget to hold the mirror as you take the last bolt off. other wise it'll crash to the ground.
