So a friend at work today told me that a friend of his just got a '99 ZR2 with 74,000 miles/120,000km! It's been sitting for a few years (obviously) & it has a few front end issues, ball joints, maybe pitman &/or idler, alignment etc. The parking brake is seized & minor surface spots of rust on the rockers near the fenders & quarters etc. It's completely stock as well. He got this gem for $9000 Canadian!
Right now, today that's $9,040.68 USD.
I coughed & laughed & my friend asked if it was a good deal? I said YEAH - for the seller!
Was I rude in saying that? Laughing about his friend? I got my 2002 LS with a 3" BL, 31" tires 3 years ago last Sept. with 50,000 miles/80,000km for $7000 & that was from a dealer so I paid a bit more because of the safety (which he obviously has to get done after the work).
So what do you think?

Haha I think you got a good deal. But I Basicly stole my 2004 in 2008 with 38,000 mi and only paid $4,000 for it. Don't find deals like that too often. It was completely stock at the time btw but like to hear if anyone can beat that deal!?

Thanks man, well see what comes up. Perfect world just a rocker lock that's fubar - my world is it's bottom end or wrist pin. Anyway I'll get it fixed.
I've heard Glen at Duals yap about the 5.3L & they're installing one in a 74 or so chev p/u. Damn nice I must say & then I see a magazine on the shelf the other day. They had an article 5.3L Small Block V-8 400 HP - Turn Key Engine Supply
Check them out & for $7000 OUCH you get a turn key, 350HP 327ci/5.3L engine. Accesorized right it's a 5 wire hook up & drive away in HP bliss lol. $7400 & you get 404HP.
Add extra for A/C, power steering etc. That's still a lot of money but they dyno run them & make sure they're running right.
