Jeep Renegade: Poser with red tow hooks?
So I saw a Jeep Renegade to day and it had the front tow hooks painted red. I had to do a double-take as I thought these were unibody rigs. Turns out they are. I just shook my head as who needs their tow hooks painted a high-visibility color unless maybe it is a SAR (search and rescue) rig. It is a bit like those people with the big 4x4 rigs that they never take off-road but they leave the shackles attached and also sometimes painted red. I have a shackle and receiver attachment for it for my truck but it lives in the tool box because I don't want anyone to take it.

I think thats what the trail guys call a Mall Crawler. Someone who gets all the work done but never uses it for anything but looks and never gets dirty. Me personally, I can't wait to get out to New Mexico and ride around the mesa.

guilty on my old 91 Toyota...
In my defense, I was in the midst of rebuilding the motor and I had painted it in the red paint in the process. I was mucking around on the front one day after doing some under the hood cleaning with the engine out, had some of the paint left over, figured why not...
I hit the skid plate with it too

Yes, it's a poser. It's not even a Jeep, it's a Fiat.
