Default Low Fuel Light

I have a 03 4DR 4x4 Blazer. From what I've been reading(and experienced) I have a floating gas needle. I will say it's accurate most of the time. Anyway, was just curios when it's near the orange empty mark and the low fuel light pops on, how much is actually left in the tank, and how far can it go. And if I'm correct it only has a 16 gallon tank? The owner's manual didn't come with it when I bought it. Either way, any insight would be helpful.

I believe it has an 18 gallon tank, at least that's what my '95 has. No idea on the low fuel light, mine doesn't have that.

My 2002 4dr has an 18 gallon tank. The light goes on when I have used 14 gallons so I have 4 left

03 4dr has 18gal tank. and yes the light will come on with 4 gals left. dont go farther than that. these pumps dont like being out of fuel to cool them off.

Thanks for the replies, now at least I know the tank size. I assumed when I filled it up when the light popped on there were 2 gallons or so left, so that's how I came up with the 16. Nice to know there were in fact 4 gallons. Now, I know I can make it to work some mornings if I'm running late and don't have to stop for gas.

As a new Blazer owner, everything I've read about problems with fuel pumps, I try not to run it low if it's possible. Definitely don't want to even risk running it completely out.
