Correct me if I'm wrong, but a lot of dogs can be trained as service dogs. Maybe Boston Terriers are good at sensing an imminent seizure coming on?

At any rate, the man deserves respect! He was hurt in service for your country.

Other patrons should have had his back, that's the part that bugs me. $.02

Boston Terriers are very smart, Its not uncommon to see them being used as service dogs.

if people would do a little reasearch, they would see that bostons are rather common for service dogs. He was living on base and was limited on the size of dogs he could own. had to be >20lb. The dog helps him get around in society. Makes him feel comfortable being around people.

you are right! I've even seen a Pomeranian used for a service dog. It was trained to detect oncoming seizures!!! Any breed is capable. heres some reading for yall that have doubts: 5 things you don't know about service dogs - CNN.com
