Unhappy Might have to put my dog down....

Well about a month ago someone poisoned my dog (yellow lab mix) with antifreeze and rat poison and we took her to the vet and they said if her kidneys dont get worse she can go onto a strict diet and may do ok. Well a few days ago she stopped eating and drinking so we took her back to the vet and they put her on fluid therapy. Got a call today and they said she still isnt eating and her bloodwork is worse so we should think about having her put down.... Shes the family baby and lets just say id like to give the bastard that did it a piece of his own medicine.

oops looks like i put this in general chat instead of lounge, admin move please. Thanks

Im really sorry to hear that bro... Some people should be put down themselves....I hope you find the bastard and at least beat him down.....I would lose it if i had to kill my dog I have only had him for around 2 years but he replaced my other dog that got hit on new years.. He was an albino pit...Absolutely a beautiful dog and the sweetest I have ever seen with my daughters...

I'm sorry to read that about your dog. It's unfortunate that some people are that way.

Like all pet owners, this just breaks my heart to read. I know how it feels to have to put a loved pet to sleep, but the pain does finally lessen. Don't waste time or energy hating the person who did this horrible act; just know that a higher power will require them to account for it and that will be more than you could ever do to them. Bless your family and your faithful dog.

I know they say they're in a better place now but I think she was better off here with you and your family. She's in a good place now and can rest peacefully.

I had an australian shepherd dog for 14 years, she was absolutely amazing, but last semester about half way through her kidneys started to fail, she had gotten a tumor about 2-3 years prior, but my mother had to end up putting her down. It was tears at first, but I have accepted that it was the best thing so she wouldnt have to suffer.

I would do all you can unless you cause the dog to suffer. The only reason we put it down was because she was suffering.

And about someone doing this, they are f*cking j*rkoffs and should die.

Sorry to hear about your dog man. It's always hard enough to put a loved pet down because of their age or disease, but because some ******* poisoned your dog? Thats just sick! Once again, sorry for your loss. I left for school this year knowing my dog probably won't be there when I come home again because she wasn't doing so well when I left, so I can kind of feel your pain
