Hello everyone!
I'm a new member here. Not new to this forum platform or gm vehicles. I'm very active on the cobaltss forum
I aquired a very nice, fully loaded trailblazer (blazer) from my mom who passed away this summer. Very sad, but anyway!
It's a 99, 4.3, 4wd, heated two tone seats, 6 disk, sunroof, the works!
But naturally it does have a few little issues...
Mainly: high idle. i'm guessing its the idle air control unit. Read that ones from napa or direct from gm work best?
issues with that:
--idles good sometimes, other times up to 1500
--makes braking... difficult
--doesn't like to shift right, whether in 2 or 4wd - i.e., will hold 1st gear regaurdless of how hard i'm on the throttle till 3k rpms then shift rather hard.
4wd panel inside doesn't always like to work. i have a new unit. planning to rip the dash off and throw that in
passenger side heated seat button has recessed into the seat.. sure i could figure it out but any easy fixes?
got a good belt squeak. gonna try a little lithium grease either that or i think its the tensioner.
what else... well it has alignment issues, likes to pull to the right. i can hear the passenger side ball joint is out.
i'm at 100k miles; any other maitenance you guys would recommend?
i'm planning on:
-oil change
coolant flush
spark plugs
new belt
trans flush and filter (provided metal shavings aren't holding it together)
new goodyear wrangler tires
thanks any and all for help!
and for your enjoyment... pics! these are the ugliest rims ever btw haha

and my fully bolted cobalt supercharged. doing a ported head and cams over this winter
thats why i'm glad to have this lovely winter blazer!

No its not dead, just seems to get a little slow during the week. Seems like all minor fixes on your blazer. Have a read through the threads and search function and you will find tons of good help.
Those cobalts are fun. Buddy had one and we put a smaller blower pulley and nitrous on it and it was downright nasty...
