I didnt realize you guys had 1st generation blazers down there! You should definitely look for hard starting issues and poor gas mileage...I'm pretty sure the fuel pressure regulators and internal fuel line leaks are a common problem with these.

Other than that, check your for rear leaf spring sag...overly worn leaf springs can cost some money to fix.

But the 1st gen guys will have alot more insight than me

I can't speak for south america but here these are common finds in the boneyard so parts aren't really an issue at all unless your looking for aftermarket toys like brush guards etc. they are out there just much harder to track down than for a second gen. Now, that being said i'm on my 4th first gen (if you count the typhoon) 2wd just wasnt me so sold it after 3 years to one of my lil brothers friends he still driving it 4 years later (89 2wd s10 blazer), sold the second one to my other brother 2 years ago and he still driving it today (91 4wd 2.8l body rot was more than i was willing to mess with but it still runs great) the typhoon, well lets just say my lead foot was costing me too much in tickets so I sold it and leave it at that lol. going on 2 years with my current 94 4x4 and have no plans on letting it go anywhere. I love my first gens (IMO cockpit feels too cramped in 2nd gens but thats just my personal taste)

hey man. ya i have a 1993 Chevy Blazer, 2 wheel drive, 4-door, s-10 tahoe... personally never seen another one and i've been driving it for nearly two years now. its a solid green... you see more of the two tones. i'm in ontario. don't see why there aren't any of my model still out there cause they're an amazing truck. lots of fun to drive and very smooth. mine's in pretty close to mint condition... finally startin to rust along the tailgate but thats about it.
