Default New toy.

My father in law upgraded to a Harley road king so I bought his 750 shadow. With my 60 mile round trip commute to work this should help save some $ for my projects.

Its quite a change from my last bike a 97 vmax but maybe I won't get as stupid on this one!

Anyone else ride?

I've been thinking of going, the wifes family rides, and one of my brother inlaws just bought a track bike!

Have you heard about Friday the 13th at Port dover?

Can't say that I've heard about it. I've been riding practically my whole life. Started on dirt bikes and have almost always had a bike of some kind. My brother has even been in a few videos. The alticity sand crusade series.

Every Friday the 13th, there's a town that closes its streets to bikers only for the entire day. It's called port dover in Ontario. I've had people in Florida say hi to me because I was wearing one of their shirts lol...

I want to make it out there today, hopefully I will. I'll post pics if I do.

Nice!

I haven't ridden a Shadow, but I rode a V-Max once and it certainly put a smile on my face. Most of my riding experience has been on dirt bikes, with a fair amount on sport bikes and supermotos. I haven't ridden too many cruisers, but I think I may be getting to that point in my life, lol.

I've owned 2 vmax's over the years and yes they put a smile on your face every time you get on one! The shadow is definitely a different ride. Its a comfortable ride but at 45hp vs a stock vmax at 140hp it just isn't the same.

Only 4 wheels for me. Too old to get on a bike. Tried once when I was in service and went over a bank. Jim Freeman (P0cketbeagle
