Default Non-Tech Rear Window Question...

Can anyone tell me if its legal (specifically in Maryland) to drive with the rear glass in the up position? I'm not looking to haul anything, just for an increase in air flow in the cabin area. I am driving a 2000 S10 Blazer with the high mount brake light mounted onto the glass itself if that makes any difference. Thanx in advance.

Driving around with the glass or hatch open will result in more exhaust inside the vehicle. Plus you take a chance of the glass dropping down and shattering shut or something smacking it.

Yeah its funny how it works, but it will suck all your exhaust up in because the window up acts like a wing and makes a low pressure zone below it. If you have stiff struts it should stay up, and im sure the cops wont really care any if at all... You wil smell exhaust though. I used to open my drop down glass in my 4runner and it made me gag the smell.
