Props to another BF member!
So I collect fine writing instruments. Kinda silly I know, but I always write with a Cross pen. We had a thread in here a while back where a member posted that he was a "pen turner" as a hobby. I was curious and asked him ( toohai2 ) about it and was referred to his website. www.hai-designs.com where I had to have what I saw. I ordered two (for me and my brother) of the .50 cal bullet pens. The package arrived, obviously opened by customs, and my 2 beautiful bullet pens were inside. They are huge, and the parts fit so nice together and operate so smoothly. This man does some really nice work and the guts inside are good quality parts. Ive been showing mine off around work the last couple days. Not too many canadians thus far have seen a real .50 rifle round, nevermind one thats turned into a pen. I will be ordering some more of the smaller line of bullet pens as you can get different woods and such for the top end and I know they will be gorgeously polished, these .50 are just the bullet obviously due to the size. One of my favorite features is that it fits tight into the pen pocket of my coveralls and cant fall out when I bend over, and wont push up and out when picking boxes and such up! If you work at a desk, and want something to have small talk with customers/clients/and such on your desk, then you should definatley check this guy out!
