It's not just mechanics that will try and rip you off, anyone will try and rip you off. When we was looking for another car a few weeks ago, we came across an Acura that when you started to drive it the ABS light came on, I pointed it out, he looked me direct in the eye and said "That's to show it's working". When I worked as a auto electrical mechanic the first garage I left because the boss wanted me to 'add' problems and this was 22 years ago so it's nothing new. The second garage I worked at was honest and I loved working there.

OHHHHHH it gets better...

NEVER GO TO "QUALITY AUTO CENTERS" IN BELLEVILLE NJ OR NORTH ARLINGTON NJ!!!!

I had shocks installed 5/2008, I was told by the A*shole there that he could get me "Top of the line Shocks" installed for 400.00.

Ok, I felt as if I could trust him so I did it.

Fast foward to 11/30/2009.

I had a alignment that was totally out (the last alignment was done by Quality Auto mind you after they isnstalled the new front end.

Then the guys who did the alignment told me that my front shocks were shot.. and that I had the lowest and cheapest monroes (the blue ones) each shock was 20.00 a piece!!!! WTF!!!!!

So the new place gave me a quote for new ones, which came out to 380.00 for all.

Yeah....

So after that I went to autozone and bought gabrials gold for 30.00 per shock so I bought 2 for the front and installed them 12/1/2009 BIG DIFFERENCE.

The rears are not bad at all, actually they are firm so I left them and they aren't leaking.

Quality Auto has psyco's working for them and B/S ers also... what ripoff's!!!!!!!!

I have, actually they are not where I live, I used to take my BMW there and they were really cool.

I can buy a part and bring it to them without them complaining and they install it right.

They let me go into the garage, I have cigarettes with the owner and B/S with the guys...

They are excellent mechanics, all of the mechanics have been there atleast 5 years or more....
