You have to remove the diff cover to remove the oil or at least loosen the bolts & gently pry the bottom of the cover open. They didn't come with a stock drain plug. I'd remove it & have a gasket ready just because it's a good opportunity to inspect the gears etc.

Yeah no kidding. How would you secure the cover OFF the vehicle to remove a stuck fill plug without twisting or warping the cover if it wasn't held in place with all the bolts on the diff?

thanks guys and i know i am a newbie at all this havent ever had a problem with finding and fixing things on a vehicle. it is good to know that there is something new i can learn each day. another question is i am getting a vibration when i hit about 65 mph does anyone have an idea of what it might be. drive shaft is good and u joints are good too. i am having trouble figuring it out.
