I find that new vehicles (I fix alot on the side for people) get tons of bullsh|t engine codes that cost alot. The most common I have seen since they came out with MAF sensors is leaking intake gaskets. A tiny little intake leak can trigger the lean run condition. I like the old cars, and fixing them is fun so thats why I own them. Old cars are not too expensive if you do your own repairs.
