Default Thinking of selling the blazer

well the way gas prices are i'm going to have to get rid of my s10 blazer. getting around 13-16mpg is not cutting it and driving over 200 miles a week one way to school isn't going to help. i'm keeping my other truck just for hauling stuff and playing in the mud. thinking of a saturn/something made in america 2000 ish and older. newer if i could get it for a good price. thinking my blazer would sell for around 3k so something in that price range.
what do you guys think? i might just save the money for now and drive my other truck. which gets better fuel economy with a bigger motor then my blazer

Take the motor from the bigger truck, put it in the Blazer and get better fuel economy in the Blazer!

Problem solved!

idk man. i like that truck. the blazer has been a decent suv for me. mpg have never been great. my other truck is just an old diesel and will get at least 20mpg no problem. weighs alot more than the blazer too. GM should have made the blazer get 20mpg no problem. shoot that diesel is running 20+ years behind on technology and is kicking my blazers butt.

the blazer needs about $1000 worth of parts to make it decent. still needs a new cat, waiting on an abs control module from another member to fix my abs light.

if i do keep the blazer i have 3 vehicles and i only really need 2 so downsizing might be good.

i'm right there with you. i'm looking at selling my truck and getting a chevy cruze. (taking out the student loan). 24 city mpg and 42 highway with a 6 speed.

you could probably pick up a chevy aveo or cavalier for that price with good mileage

so you've mentioned your Blazer & you "other truck", but failed to tell us what your third vehicle is. is it not any better than your trucks?
