Default Weekend getaway at the lake (pic heavy)

This is random, but I thought I'd share some pictures of my buddy's weekend getaway at the lake. It's about 30min outside of town and his parents head there every weekend during the summer. We get out when we can, and honestly it's one of the most relaxing places I've been.
I took a bunch of pics (link at the bottom) when we got up on Sunday morning this past weekend (it was a long weekend so we headed out there). The water was amazing, just like a sheet of glass when we woke up. Thought I'd share the beauty of Nova Scotia

Here are just a few pics:

This one is my favorite...I love the ripple effect:

The rest of the pics can be found >here<

That's actually what we did all day Sunday lol...that and swimming on the water trampoline. We could have also gone water skiing or tubing.

what No pics of attempts to cross it with the blazer? lol. Looks like a nice place. Next Spring Im planning on taking a road trip up to canada. Crossover from vermont, go up north, loop around and come back thru eastern maine and back down to Pennsylvania. I hear there are alot of nice stops up there.

There definitely is! Where abouts are you planning on coming in Canada? Just up through Quebec and New Brunswick, or were you planning on going further ...say into Nova Scotia?

It's pics like that, that make me miss the UK. I know it's not a big country but we have lots of places like that. I was born and raised in a industrial town so loved going to areas that are tranquil, somewhere to rest and recharge the batteries. Now I live in a place that is not built up and a traffic jam is more then 6 cars but, not a lot of green around here. Looks like a nice place, makes me want to load up the Blazer and go site seeing.
