It was my second week as a sophomore in high school. I was on my way to a friend's house as we rode our bikes to school every morning. I walked into his house and as usual he was listening to Mark and Brian on the radio and they were talking about it. From what it sounded like, I knocked on his door just as the first plane hit. Then came the news of the second plane.

I was on recess in the 3rd grade, 8 yrs old, and i heard some of the teachers telling us about it, we didn't cable in that school, so when i got home i found out everything, I didn't really know what was going on but i did know it was serious. But now that i'm 16 i realize the importance of that day

I was asleep (it was around midnight) in my rack inport Darwin, AU. We pulled out the next morning and headed to the Norther Arabian Gulf.

Shorty thereafter, I had the great honor to see multiple US Navy warships firing multiple missiles into Afghanistan.

I was in 7th grade... reading the book the giver, just started it, and if you have ever read it then you know the beginning is about strange low flying planes.... weird...
But..
I hate to be "unamerican" and not patriotic... but seriously...
This was an attack of terrorism... but why do we only remember this one??? Plenty of bad things have happened and this is the only one with a day of rememberance... I am sorry to all the of the affected families, but what about the families of the OK city bombing?? What about the Iran conflict during reagan, what about the cuban missile crisis, what about the attempted assassinations, what about the countless other times when America was attacked... We should remember them all, every american life that is taken unrightfully deserved to be remembered.........

I was in 3rd grade, 8 years old. All the teachers were really rattled. All the kids thought the video of a plane taking down a tower was awesome. Class resumed shortly after.

Of course now I realize the true tragedy of the event.

I was 10, in 5th grade. They held an announcement to have a moment of silence to honor the dead. They didn't really explain much of what had happened, only that there was a National Tragedy.
