From what I was shown, it's much faster, and has nicer features. A friend of mine, with Vista his laptop would take 5 minutes to boot completely, loading background programs etc. included in that time... Now with Win7 that time has been pretty well halved.

Survey says... Windows 7 is number 1!

I used Vista since RC1, then 7 since RC..

The question really isnt what OS is better, its WHAT OS FITS MY NEEDS BETTER!! If you compare XP to Vista, 2 years after launch, Vista has much higher market penetration and was more stable...

XP, Vista, and so far 7 all have the same issue.. They all were different when first released and needed CURRENT HARDWARE/SOFTWARE. Computer tech hasent advanced nearly as much, so 7 seems more stable at launch then the others (which also makes it more compatible with Vista)...

7 is a completely different OS than Vista. It does look and feel like Vista tho.

If you are buying a NEW computer and NEW software, 7 will shine (as will Vista).. If you are using any LEGACY (older) software or hardware, then you might want to consider XP... I say this as Vista has issues (very well documented, often the reason people say Vista sucks - kinda funny that the exact same things were said about XP) with LEGACY (older) hardware/software. I donno how 7 handles this, as Ive personally never tested that.
