The worst automotive repair I have done is back when they first came out with the line disconnects for the transmission lines . It was on a friends ford ranger , we ended up just cutting the lines . I was only 18 when we did this , but I still feel like a idiot today . But now I wouldn't mind doing transmissions all day long , and I do have a set of line disconnects now .

Egr cooler on a 2005 f350 powerstroke. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Every bolt clip and anything else is buried and hard to get at. Turbo had to be removed due to a little tab on the intake that hitit. Spent a few hours just getting the turbo not to leak

Clutch on a 06 mitsubishi evo 9. No matter how many tutorials you read, and how easy it seems to be. It's not. No mention of a 12" pin running through the trans and transfer case that needs removed before the transfer case will come off, we pryed on that thing for 6 hours before we finally found the pin. then releasing the throw out bearing from the pressure plate is another feat. Ended up having to unbolt the clutch from the flywheel from the top where the clutch fork goes in. Luckily there was enough room to do this with a 1/4in rachet. All in all it took us 4 solid days of working on it. Getting the transmission back in was a pain in the *** too, but it was easy once we got that far.

Rear bank spark plugs on my old 01 Aztek AWD 3400. Nightmare, gotta remove the whole coil packs and mounting bracket, then grow a second elbow. Cant even see them from the bottom cause the Tcase is in the way.
Harmonic Balancer on my old 350 dime - WITHOUT removing the engine. Removed the radiator instead.
Balljoints (4) on my kid brothers slammed dime 4/6 drop. Hardest part is getting a jack under it.
Intake gaskets on a Mercury Coug with the V6... They have some stupid IMRT (?) thing thats a nightmare to get off. Looks like a second set of butterfly throttles for the secondary intake runner. Kinda like a 4bbl but on an injected engine with dual intake runners.
Many moons ago when I was an apprentice, I dropped a brand new Jeep YJ off a hoist cause the hoist arms have to go on the frame, which is a whole 24 inches long under it. Customer came in for the first oil change, left with a written off Jeep and a rental. Glad I wasnt anywhere near it when it came down on the passenger side. All windows broke, hoist arms tore into the hood and rear body. Broke off both front and rear diffs on the passenger side. Ruined. Then the tow truck had to drag it outside to upright it. Long time customer, she was not upset at all cause accidents happen. She got a new jeep from the shops insurance.

aww man I could do those in my sleep! haha! My SVT has the same thing. It's the IMRC (intake manifold runner control) which is basically secondary intake ports that open at 3250rpm WOT or 3750rpm normal driving.
