Which would be better, a Zr2 S-10 or a Z71 Silverado?

I'm kind of losing interest in my Jimmy, I'm more of a truck kinda guy myself. Which do you all like better for whenever I save enough cash to buy another truck? (I'll probably keep my Jimmy too and give it to my little brother when he turns 16.)

Something like this^

Or something like this^

Don't worry i'll stick with the Blazer Forum.

Really depends on what you want it for and what you expect out of it.

Basically, if you want a small truck, get the ZR2. If you want a fullsize, get the Z71. That is what it all boils down to.

There are pros and cons to both.

The problem is, I can see myself in either. I hunt and fish alot so getting through some crazy terrain is a must. It will also be out on the beach in the summer. I'm just looking for opinions really. I hate not having a truck bed to throw my junk in. Also when I trap raccoons to relocate them, it's not the best to have them in an suv with me lol

Take a look at what is around in your area, alot of cheaper full size have been used as a work truck so not the best conditions. Not as much work truck s10's. If it was me I would try for the s10 because of my commuting and can get a little better mpg then a full size but would have to be extended or crew cab.

Yeah extended cab is definitely a must as well. I drive alot too, I think i'll find me a Zr2 s-10 or maybe even the Sonoma model, it won't be for a while though before I start looking. I'm just considering right now.

I love full size's, Problem is they don't fit down the trails I like to wheel on (well they do but only certain ones and it takes ALOT of doing).
