Default XM Radio

Does anyone use these? I bought an XM brand one from bestbuy for my big rig. It cuts out all the time and annoys me alot. I paid the 9/mo to hook up my stock silverado one too, and it works great and never cuts out, I have the sharkfin antenna on my silverado roof, its stock with the truck. Im blaming it on a crappy antenna that came with the unit I bought, it was a low end one in the bottom of the price range.

Can anyone gimme some tips on this or recomend a better antenna?

I have it mounted in the center of my dash up at the window (where the instructions said)

My fav channels so far:
Raw Dog Comedy
Octane
Laugh Attack

I had that problem when I drove the big rig with the small crappy antenna that comes with it, I kind of solved it with a bracket on the mirror still got some bad reception once in a while, I know they use to sell antennas for trucks specifically and the guys I saw with them and asked said they worked good. I never got around to that because of that bracket I mentioned, I did found it on a truck stop (it was 7years ago and don't have a pic of it).
You have to try to put the antenna out of the cab and as high as you can.

Oh.... That must be what "mount with a clear view of the sky" meant then... Ill try moving it outside via the passenger door so the wire wont get damaged.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that's where I had mine on the passenger side mirror, I actually still have the setup in my Blazer but I have not paid for the service in a few years, now I use my ipod but I do miss the comedy channels.
