well, well.....the stock bilsteins are back on and i have no creeking noise anymore. i guess i should see about getting a refund for these cheap "lowering shocks" huh? before i go blasting the company telling you where i got them from & not to buy them, i'm gonna to see what their return policy is.

Hmmm, never thought of that.

Question qtips, how do you get a leaf spring vehicle so low on bags? Are you running some sort of swing arms for the rear axle?

Neat, thanks for the info, I've always wondered about that.

Anyway, I'm wondering how the OP made out with swapping the shocks?

*EDIT* upon scrolling up the page, it seems him and I posted at exactly the same time, resulting in me not seeing his solution lol...

Glad we could help you find the problem... I'm glad you didn't pull the sway bar out.

thanks for the help. and by the way, don't buy the shocks SpringTech/Suspensionmax (on ebay) has and/or tries to sell you. these were them. rears are too short and their so called salesman aka tech support did not understand why they were making noise. you don't change the geometry on the rear of an s-series truck b/c the lower shock mounting plate does not ever change. their guy did not understand that and said he was fully confident in their shocks' quality.
