lowering 91 4x4. 4x4 deleted. Few minor questions.
In the process of lowering my 91 4x4. Front diff has been removed, outer cv ends put back into the hub(4,000 miles so far,no problems). So i know about the belltech drop keys. I have 3" blocks for the rear. For the front can i just back out the factory keys adjusting bolts and loose 2-3"? Is it safe to completely remove the bolts?
Im putting in a 350 in july I wonder how much lower it'll fall with the added weight.
Im not looking for 5-6 inches etc. I just want about a 3/2 drop.
Also im guessing to adjust the keys i need to jack up the entire truck? or just the front? thanks

you can drop it 4 inches and still keep the 4wd. why did you remove everything?
to adjust the keys just get under it and loosen the bolts.. I ran mine all the way backed out for 15k and never had a problem. Get an alignment though. otherwise you'll go through tires like crazy

I removed the front diff because 4x4 never wanted to work, there was a bad clunk when in 4x4 when it wanted to work, didnt really care to have it and the both front cv's were shot. The front diff also leaked all the fluid out and was bone dry. So i said to heck with it. plus to keeps me from buying that 200.00 oil pan when i do the v8 swap.
Is it mandatory to lift the blazer before i adjust the bolts? How many turns out did you go until 235/75/15's were close to rubbing? I know they are all different but id like to have a close guess.
