1991 blazer ignition problem
My 1991 s10 will not start by turning the key. I can put 12 volts to the purple wire going to the solenoid and it will start with the key in run position. The neutral safety switch is not the problem. I am looking for the purple wire under the dash to put 12v too so I can find the problem or just put a push button in to start the truck.
I am also looking for a wiring diagram for the ignition system to I can trace the wires under the dash.
I see the two wiring harness coming out of the steering column. One for the blinkers and the other for the wipers. Is the purple wire for the solenoid in one of these harness?
I do not know where the purple wire is located from the key switch.
Any direction on this would be very helpful.

I am looking for the purple wire inside the cab of the truck to start trouble shooting or just put 12v to it to start it with a push button.
I wired my 1982 F150 so that I would turn on the key and touch two wires together.
