Default 2001 Chevy Blazer 2 Door from NJ

Just finished college and since college raped my bank account, figured instead of envying over new cars that I always see on commercials, I could modify my current car. Runs great of course but wanted some advice on a few things.

I have optional 4 wheel drive so its got the standard chassis (Im not a car guy sorry), but I would like my truck to have a little lift with bigger tires and those cool looking black rims. I don't want anything obnoxious like a 5 inch lift but more like my blazer to look like a ZR2 with slightly beefer tires. Once again I am not a car guy so I don't know where to start on brands of lift kits, tires, and rims.

Also, I got a grey interior, grey dash, grey carpet, etc. Anyway I could completely or partly convert it to a black interior whether it be painting or dash replacement? Is that expensive?

Sorry for the questions but thanks to anyone who helps.

Welcome from New York. You should look in the appropriate sections for your questions. You will find a vast amount of info on tires and lifting your vehicle. As for the interior I dont nec. recomend painting whole panels and such but possibly doing some of the other trim parts. There are a couple of guys on here who have done some paint on the interior you just need to check out some of the photos and then check their build threads. Also don't forget to post pictures as you go along. Good luck.

welcome to the show, from Canada.

easiest & cheapest for a little lift, is to do the t-bar crank & shackles. do a search of the Suspension section, that topic has been discussed to death around here.

like it was already mentioned, start a build thread to document the changes to your rig as you go along.

i've gotta say, for not being a car guy (even though you own a truck ) you sure seem to know what the ZR platform is all about.
