2004 4x4 6 cylinder, blazer, having issues
I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer that has been sitting for quite a few years I believe since about 2015. I got it started a few years back even drove it around and then re-parked it cuz I couldn't afford to get the registration and insurance but anyway original reason it was sitting was because of a ignition that wouldn't turn over the key was stuck like I could get the key out but I couldn't get it to turn at all to get the cylinder out then I finally did started right up no problem. Now just recently I tried it again I got a new ignition switch put in a new battery and it won't start I replaced the filter it has no codes except for saying that it needs gas and the gas cap was loose. I can hear the pump turn on there is fuel in the filter it tries to start and just doesn't. I got some starter fluid and put some in where you're supposed to and it will start and run for as long as that little bit of fluid is in there but then it doesn't do anything after that so it's not spark I checked all the relays all the fuses no problems there all the gauges come on lights work stereo works air conditioner power windows locks security system but just no start any ideas. Since I changed the filter there's now a sound coming from somewhere around where the distributor is when I turn the key just to accessory or whatever and then turn it back off and not try to get to turn over every time I do that when I turn it off there's a ticking sound coming from over that area along with what sounds like maybe fluid like maybe it's building pressure does that sound right or is something else wrong
